AMERICAN is a collection of audio, film, and photographic portraits by Dutch photographer and filmmaker Robin de Puy, exploring the lives and voices of everyday people across America. An ordinary idea for (extra)ordinary people: the concept for the experience borrows from 'ordinary' visual references — road signs, road markings, maps — applied with care and craft to both elevate and ground their stories.
