The Ugly Duck

Deep dish is the misfit of the pizza world. Much like the ugly duckling — misunderstood, ridiculed for its unorthodox appearance. The name called for an identity combining the spirit of Amsterdam and Chicago with a misfitting attitude: an 'ugly duck' symbol nodding to both cities, typography inspired by the organised chaos of letterpress, bold colours, and a rough-and-ready motion style.
